Mission
As a mechanical engineer at PLD Space, your mission is to contribute to the development and maintenance of test benches that ensure the reliable and accurate testing of our systems and components. You will play a crucial role in supporting the testing and validation processes, thereby ensuring the overall quality and performance of our products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review piping system designs according to technical and regulatory requirements.
- Review and interpretation of P&IDs.
- Definition of 2D piping layout drawings.
- Preparation of MTO.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions related to the test benches.
- Maintain and update documentation related to test bench configurations and procedures.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for the procurement of necessary equipment, components, and services related to test bench development.
Necessary Requirements
- Completed technical engineering degree.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of ASME (B31.1, B31.5) and DIN standards.
- Deep understanding of requirement documents of rotary and static equipment.
- Proficiency in SP3D, Plant3D or any other specialized software.
- Knowledge of 3D design software (Solidworks, Siemens NX, Inventor).
- Medium/high level of English.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Familiarity with mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and across different departments.
- Ability to make informed decisions under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Desired Competencies
- Experience with test bench development or operation in the aerospace industry.
- Demonstrated experience in design industrial machinery, hydraulics or fluid and gas lines such as water, liquid oxygen, kerosene, nitrogen, or helium.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, API, DIN, ISO).
- English B2.
