Mission  

As a Configuration Management Specialist for MIURA 5 Launch System, within System Engineering department your main mission is to help PLD Space teams building robust and stable processes and associated tools for configuration data and change control. 


Responsibilities 

  • Establishment of Configuration Management (CM) Plans for internal activities 
  • Implementation of CM activities (Configuration Identification, Control, Status Accounting and Verification and Audit), including the generation of procedures or instructions, following industry best practices, for hardware and software. 
  • Selection and implementation of appropriate tools for CM implementation. 
  • Critical review and approval of CM Plans and processes for subcontractors. 
  • Management of the Change Proposal processes, taking a leading role on the Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and associated configuration committees. 
  • Maintaining the baseline of all Configuration Items (CIs) of hardware, software, licensing and associated documentation used within the company. 
  • Maintaining an auditable CI relationship register to ensure hardware to software to licence relationships are defined, allowing this register to be used to drive areas such as: obsolescence management, licence renewal, updates to be scheduled… 
  • Record and control the evolution of Configuration Documentation, in coordination with Documentation Department. 
  • Reporting to Program Managers and hierarchies. 

 

Necessary Requirements

  • Engineering degree. 
  • +2 years’ experience in technical domain, configuration management and documentation. 
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards in configuration management (ECSS, ISO 9001, ISO10007). 
  • Microsoft Office advanced level. 
  • Knowledge of collaborative working tools. 
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in technical and programmatic areas. 
  • Experience in interfacing with subcontractors.
