Mission 

As an Avionics Production Engineer at PLD Space, your main mission is to:

  • Plan, control and manage the production plan according to the master plans. 
  • Plan, control and manage the acquisition of material goods and services. 
  • Define and/or optimize the processes and control points for the manufacture and integration of electrical and electronic systems, defining methods, estimating times, labor, materials, machines, tools and tools.


Responsibilities 

  • To carry out the detailed programming of the production unit based on the master plan, taking into account the availability of personnel, materials, machines and tools. 
  • To structure and manage the MOs to comply with the detailed plan. 
  • To ensure the distribution and publication of the planned short-term work in the production unit in the operating units and medium/long-term in the management units. 
  • To analyse the evolution of the WM with respect to the planned planning. e. Identify and analyse deviations in compliance with the detailed plan. 
  • To participate in discrepancy review committees for the identification, taking of actions and mitigation of quality root causes. 
  • To manage the necessary actions to mitigate deviations in the detailed plan, keeping management units informed. 
  • To manage the cataloguing of the materials and products of the area under their responsibility. 
  • To plan and follow up on the needs for materials and services necessary for the fulfilment of the detailed plan. 
  • To track quality non-conformities. 
  • To ensure that the documentary status of the products is in accordance with the state of progress of the same. 
  • To generate the corresponding indicators for the management of the production unit (CPI, SPI, ICE, quality index, IUMOD, etc.). 
  • To participate in and/or lead continuous improvement processes. 
  • To estimate the development times of production operations. 
  • To analyse and define the criteria and standards for the production processes. 
  • To design the process product by each product following the information provided in the eBOM. 
  • To design and/or make specifications for the tools / production tools. 
  • To prepare the manufacturing BOM. 
  • To define and monitor the implementation of production processes for their correct execution, minimizing the risk of deviation. 
  • To propose product design improvements in order to make production more efficient and effective.


Necessary Requirements  

  • University Degree - Engineer (Industrial, Electronic, Electrical, Aeronautical, Mechanical) 
  • Language - English and Spanish 
  • Skills with Office (Word, Excel, power point), Microsoft project or Microsoft Visio, Altium designer (desirable), NX (desirable), Odoo (desirable).
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and electronic unit production processes. 
  • Knowledge of ECSS, NASA regulations for the manufacture of electrical wiring and electronic units would be desirable 
  • PMI training (desirable).
  • Knowledge of tools for the application of continuous improvements (5S, Improvement Team, VSM, PokaYoke, KanBan, etc.)
