Mission
As Electrical Technician at PLD Space, your main mission is to:
- Plan, control and execute manufacturing, assembly and integration procedures of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), test benches, and electrical cabinets to support verification and validation activities of avionics equipment.
Responsibilities
Manufacturing, Assembly and Integration
- Read, interpret, analyse and work with manufacturing, assembly and integration procedures, wiring foamboard diagrams, electrical/mechanical drawings, bill of materials, part lists and schematics.
- Execute manufacturing and assembly processes of high quality and high-reliable electrical wirings and cables.
- Execute assembly, integration and maintenance activities of Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), Specific Check-Out Equipment (SCOE), and avionics test benches.
- Support Avionics EGSE team for First Article Inspection (FAI) activities of pre-ship test benches and facilities.
- Support manufacturing, assembly and integration (MAI) activities of flight avionics hardware.
- Manage work orders and prepare parts and materials required.
- Manage and report progress of manufacturing, assembly and integration (MAI) activities via management system (ERP).
Documentation
- Create technical and controlled documentation about manufacturing, assembly and integration criteria and recommendations that include lessons learnt and experiences to help a continuous improvement in this area.
- Generate manufacturing, assembly, integration and inspection reports to communicate the results with a precise, complete and clear manner.
Interfaces
- Partner with the Production Engineering team to assist with the production processes for first runs.
- Provide interface with warehouse and laboratory technicians to request and collect materials required for the production processes.
Necessary Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate in electrical/electronic disciplines.
- 4+ years of professional experience in manufacturing and assembly of electrical cabinets.
- 2+ years of professional experience developing and mounting test benches.
- Demonstrated experience using basic mechanical and electronics hand tools.
- Ability to adapt to constantly changing work assignments and fast paced work environment.
- Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills.
- Language - English and Spanish.
Desired Requirements
- Professional experience with Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).
- Experience working in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with environmental tests (thermal, vibration, EMI/EMC, etc.).
- Professional experience soldering components in PCBs.
- Proficiency with Odoo.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably SIEMENS NX.
- Proficiency using electronics equipment such as programmable power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Experience verifying and validatingfunctionally electronic hardware.
